A working Pecan Farm and Hayes Convertor Cattle Stud in the Scenic Rim
Contact UsNestled along the Logan River, Bromelton House stands as a historic Beaudesert landmark. Once owned by Hugh Henry Robertson Aikman, who secured Moreton Bay's inaugural squatting license in 1842, this residence bears a rich legacy.
The house was christened "Broomelton," a homage to Aikman's Scottish origins in Lanarkshire. Over the years, Bromelton has evolved from a sprawling estate for sheep and beef production to a hub for pecan cultivation. The Murray family now owns the 500 acre property and is revolutionising Australian cattle production with Haye's Converter Cattle. These exceptional animals optimise feed-to-weight conversion, yielding high-quality lean and green beef.

The homestead showcases its origins in red cedar harvested from the banks of the Logan River. As time has passed, the sprawling garden has nurtured the enduring Castanospermum australe, known as the Black Bean tree, flourishing for over a century and a half.
With a warm invitation from the Murray family, enthusiasts are welcomed annually to witness the exhilarating sport of polo against a world-class backdrop.
